Overview and Instructions

The diagrams below represent the typical profiles of a conveyor belt with material. You are required to use these diagrams to take measurements of your conveyor belt system in the field. The line shown as “C” in Figure 1 represents the reference plane from which all measurements must be taken. For example ,in the field, “C” could be a conveyor belt frame.

Figures 2 and 3 indicate how the measurements of the material profile must be taken. Depending on the size of the conveyor belt, the user may use any number of points from 4 to 10. The accuracy of the calculated result will be greater if a larger number of points are measured. Hence, the minimum number of points required is 4 as per Figure 2, and the maximum number of points is 10 as per Figure 3.
